Start Your New Year with a Daniel Fast

I would describe myself as a free spirit. My preference would be to float through life focused on experiences and not things. Left to my own devices I would choose to make just enough money to get me from one adventure to the next. So although I’ve had to be a LOT more regimented because, well…motherhood – it’s never been my strong suit.

As much as I would love being nomadic, having a stable home for my children is a great thing. Not having to be tied down to a 9-5 sounds dope until you need health insurance. I’ve learned that regiments and discipline are important aspects to life because they bring stability and structure.

The discipline of completing a Daniel Fast is the perfect way to seek God in the new year (and decade!). Through your obedience and sacrifice you are submitting your heart, mind, body and spirit to God’s authority placing you in a position to hear more clearly from Him. It puts you in a posture to receive His guidance by allowing His words be a lamp to your feet and a light for your path. There is no better stability and structure for your new year than that.

Fasting requires commitment and disciple but offers great reward by transforming you from the inside out. The benefits of the Daniel Fast are truly amazing.
