Easy Vegan Parmesan Cheese

Some things you really miss after you transition to eating plant based. For me one of those things is parmesan cheese. I literally used to buy a hunk of it and eat it with olives (and wine!). I also really enjoyed it on top of pasta of course. You know how you try a vegan version of a food and you want it to taste like the original, but it doesn’t? Yep, that won’t happen here. This vegan parmesan cheese recipe tastes just like the real deal and it’s super simple to make. I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 1-1/2 tsp pink sea salt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp It’s Seasoned Garlic & Herb

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1/2 tsp basil


Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a small blender or food processor. Pulse until you get the desired texture.

  2. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator

Serve on pasta, pizza and sandwiches or stirred into salad dressing, pasta salad or rice.
